In the course of therapy, you do not use traditional, more or less visible orthodontic appliances, but transparent aligners prepared especially for you – based on the treatment plan developed by an orthodontist specialist, day by day, millimeter by millimeter aligners move your teeth in the desired direction, so as to achieve full functionality and aesthetics of your smile.

INVISALIGN CLEAR ALIGNERS THAT STRAIGHTEN TEETH – HOW IS THE TREATMENT DONE?

How is Invisalign orthodontic treatment carried out in our clinic?

1. CONSULTATION VISIT

The first stage of Invisalign Treatment is always a consultation visit with an orthodontist. The doctor will conduct a detailed interview with you and perform the first initial examination of the condition of the oral cavity.

2. DIAGNOSTICS

After collecting the medical history and the initial examination, diagnostic imaging is necessary, usually including a cephalometric photo and a panoramic radiograph. Then, using a 3D intraoral scanner, a scan of the teeth is made, based on which a virtual model of your dentition is created. Thanks to this, the doctor can precisely diagnose the type of defect and its severity, and then – plan the entire treatment.

3. VISUALIZATION OF TREATMENT EFFECTS

Thanks to the innovative ClinCheck software, the doctor visualizes the effects of therapy using Invisalign clear aligners. Even before the treatment begins, you can see how it will proceed and what your smile will look like after its completion!

4. PREPARATION OF ALIGNERS

After planning the treatment and your acceptance of the plan, it’s time to make Invisalign clear aligners that perfectly match the anatomy of your mouth. How many aligners will be needed and how long the treatment will take depends on the type of malocclusion and its degree of advancement.

5. INSTRUCTIONS FOR USE

When Invisalign clear teeth straightening aligners are ready, you come to our clinic where the doctor shows you how to use them. On some teeth, special hooks can be placed (in a color perfectly matched to the shade of the teeth), thanks to which the aligners stick better to them, and their force and direction of action are more effective. Aligners must be worn 22 hours a day.

6. CHECK-UP VISITS

Every few weeks you come to our clinic for a check-up. An orthodontist checks whether the treatment is proceeding correctly and, if necessary, modifies the treatment plan.

7. RETENTION STAGE

After completing the main stage of treatment – when the teeth achieve the desired position – the obtained effects must be consolidated. This is possible thanks to retainers, the same as in the case of treatment with a fixed appliance. You wear them for a few hours a day, as long as your dentist recommends.
